For grant writers, development teams and the consultants everyone calls at 11pm

All your grant work, one email away.

Meet Ask Grantt. The grants assistant you never have to hire (or train, or onboard). Funder research, deadline tracking and first drafts. Just ask, by email.

We set up every account by hand. Nothing to install. Free for 14 days, then from $49 a month.

Three jobs eat your week. Ask Grantt takes them by email.

You're still the grant expert. Ask Grantt does the digging, the remembering and the first pass (the parts nobody went to grad school for).

Funder research

Stop courting funders who were never going to say yes.

Describe your program in one sentence. Ask Grantt checks foundation sites, Grants.gov, state portals and the news. You get one ranked list, with the reason each funder made the cut.

  • Name any funder. Get a verdict: pursue, skip or maybe. One line on why.
  • Red flags before you've wasted a weekend: invite-only, wrong region, closed cycle.
  • Send 10 foundations. Get one side-by-side reply: focus areas, typical grant size, past grantees, how to apply.
  • Ask who funds groups like yours. Or which past funders just opened a new cycle.

Starred: worth a call
Deadline tracking

Deadlines, minus the 3am panic.

Forward the funder's email, or just tell Ask Grantt the date. It keeps track. Then ask "what's due this month?" and get proposals, reports and tasks back in one answer.

  • Not sure about a date? Ask where it came from. Ask Grantt points you to the email or page.
  • Ask about any grant by name. Funder, status, next date. Done.
  • Forward that funding newsletter you never get around to reading. Ask Grantt pulls out the ones worth acting on, with deadlines and next steps.

Ask Grantt to you

From the program officer’s email, Oct 2:

“Please send board letters by November 12 so we can include them in the packet.”

Re: site visit next week

Every date, with its source
First drafts

Blank pages are for people without an assistant.

Email "draft the LOI for [funder]." You get a first draft written to that funder's own prompts and word limits. Send messy bullet notes. Get real paragraphs back.

  • Edit like you'd edit a colleague: reply "shorter," "warmer," "lead with outcomes."
  • Paste your draft. Ask Grantt checks it against the funder's criteria before the program officer does.
  • Thank-you notes and funder updates, too. (The stuff that slides to Friday.)

You to Ask Grantt

Shorter. And lead with outcomes.

G
Ask Grantt to you

Done. Now 412 words, under their 500 limit. Outcomes moved to the first paragraph.

LOI_early-literacy.docx412 / 500

MOVED UPLast year, 212 second graders in our program gained a full reading level by spring.

Founded in 2009, our organization has a long history of serving families across the region.

Our after-school tutors work one-on-one with readers who are behind, three afternoons a week, in partnership with four elementary schools.

Your edit, their word limit
The small stuff

Then there's the small stuff.

Ask Grantt remembers your mission, programs and funders from your emails with it. You never explain yourself twice.

What were their page limits again?

Summarize this thread from the program officer.

What did I tell you about our budget?

Don't take our word for it. Take its reply.

No wall of glowing reviews yet (we're new, and honest about it). Here's what Ask Grantt actually sends back.

Example reply. The funder's name is made up. The verdict format is real.

DR
You to Ask Grantt

Should we apply to the Lakeshore Education Fund this cycle?

G
Ask Grantt to you
Skip

Short answer: skip this cycle. Here's why, and where to go instead.

Fit
They fund education, mostly capital projects, in two counties you don't serve.
Typical grant
[from their public giving info]
Red flag
This cycle closed last month. Next one opens [month].
Better bet
Two funders with open cycles that back literacy work in your region. Details below.

[CONFIRM: "Sources at the bottom. Check our work." only if real replies list sources. Otherwise "Ask where any fact came from."]

Can you send an email? Congratulations, you're trained.

No platform. No profile. No onboarding webinar.

  1. STEP 1

    Get on the list.

We add your email address to Ask Grantt's approved senders. That's the whole setup. Really.

  2. STEP 2

    Ask in plain English.

"Find funders for..." "What's due in November?" "Draft the LOI for..." Laptop, phone, the parking lot before a board meeting.

  3. STEP 3

Get a reply, usually in about 10 minutes.

Want changes? Hit reply. Ask Grantt picks up right where you left off.

The more you ask, the less you have to explain. Ask Grantt remembers what you've told it about your organization, funders and deadlines.

Get on the early listYour first ask can go out today.

Another grants tool? Please, no.

You've got enough dashboards to keep current. Ask Grantt has no login and no dashboard. You email it like you'd email a sharp research assistant, and it writes back, usually in about 10 minutes.

Tried three grant tools already? Fine. This one doesn't ask you to move in.

Most grant software wants a new home for your data. Ask Grantt lives in the inbox you already check all day.

You've done this dance. Import the spreadsheet. Train the team. Watch it go stale by spring. Ask Grantt skips the dance.

Nothing to migrate.

Start with one email. Forward or paste the history that matters, whenever you're ready.

Nothing to learn.

No logins. No menus. No seat math.

Your history stays yours.

Every ask and every answer lives in your own email. Leave whenever you like. Nothing disappears.

You're still the writer.

Ask Grantt hands you a first draft. You decide what a funder sees.

Your IT team already approved this. It's called email.

No new app. No new logins to leak. A short list of rules about who Ask Grantt will listen to.

Approved senders only.

If you're not on the list, Ask Grantt doesn't answer.

Verified mail.

Every message gets checked with DKIM, SPF and DMARC (the standard email ID checks), so a lookalike address can't pose as you.

Nothing submitted without your OK.

Anything Ask Grantt prepares on a website waits for your approval code. No code, no submit.

Replies go to you. Only you.

Ask Grantt doesn't email funders, board members or anyone else for you.

Works wherever your email works.

Which is everywhere.

Need the details for IT?

Email hey@askgrantt.com and a person will answer your security questions directly.

Cheaper than the hour you'd spend searching.

Try it free for 14 days or 100 credits, whichever comes first. Then pick a plan. No seat math, no setup fee, no sales call.

What's a credit? One credit is one normal reply: a funder verdict, a deadline check, an edit. Bigger jobs, like a full LOI draft, take a few more, and Ask Grantt tells you before it starts.

Cancel any time with one email. Fitting, really.

Questions, answered plainly.

Do I need new software?

Nope. If it sends email, it runs Ask Grantt. Nothing to install, nothing to log into.

Does it write the whole grant?

No, and you wouldn't want it to. It writes first drafts, turns notes into narrative and checks your draft against the funder's criteria. You bring the judgment. It gets you from blank page to worth-editing.

What does it cost?

Free for 14 days or 100 credits, whichever comes first. Then $49 a month for one person, $99 for consultants, $199 for teams. Pay yearly and get 2 months free. Cancel any time with one email. See the plans.

Who sees my data?

Ask Grantt only answers approved email addresses, and it checks every message really came from you. Mail from anyone else gets set aside, unanswered. Replies go to you and only you.

[PRIVACY PLACEHOLDER: staff access, outside services, retention, policy link]

Will it send or submit anything without me?

No. Ask Grantt won't submit anything on a website without your go-ahead, and it never emails funders. It emails you.

What if it gets something wrong?

Ask where any fact came from, and it'll show you. If it couldn't verify something, it says so instead of guessing. And if a request needs a human, a human picks it up.

Can I send PDFs or spreadsheets?

Not yet (we're on it). For now, paste the text or send a link to the RFP.

How fast does it reply?

Usually about 10 minutes. No tickets. No queue. Just the answer.

Some people love grant admin. For everyone else, there's Ask Grantt.

Hand off the funder research, the deadline tracking and the first drafts. Keep the part only you can do.

Still deciding? Fair. Scroll up and judge the reply.
